Manchester City’s midfield genius, Kevin De Bruyne, remains tight-lipped about his future as he enters the final months of his contract.

It’s been an uncomfortable couple of months with the injury but I am getting better, performing better and better so that’s it.
De Bruyne’s reluctance to discuss his future mirrors the cautious tone of manager Pep Guardiola, who acknowledged the midfielder’s importance but emphasized that decisions about his contract lie with the club. Guardiola noted:
O course, when he’s consistent and fit and when he can play regularly I said many times, he’s a really important player for us. A decisive player. But it’s going to happen for the club and how he’s going to perform until the end of the season, the age he is at and many things. I think the club has to think about it.
With rumors of interest from the United States swirling, De Bruyne’s performance in the coming months could be critical.
