In a triumphant return to Stamford Bridge, Trevoh Chalobah delivered an outstanding performance, propelling Chelsea to a 3-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday.
This win marks the end of Chelsea’s five-match winless streak in the Premier League.
Recalled from his loan at Crystal Palace to address Chelsea’s defensive injuries, Chalobah seamlessly reintegrated into the squad.
His composure and defensive prowess were instrumental in stifling Wolves’ attacking threats.
Notably, Chalobah achieved a 96% pass completion rate, the highest in the match, underscoring his reliability in possession.
The match commenced with Chelsea asserting dominance. In the 23rd minute, defender Tosin Adarabioyo capitalized on a set-piece opportunity, slotting home the opening goal.
However, a lapse in concentration just before halftime allowed Wolves to equalize, following an error by goalkeeper Robert Sánchez.
Undeterred, Chelsea regained control in the second half. Marc Cucurella marked his 100th Premier League appearance with a crucial goal, restoring the lead.
