Even as a player, Slot had a keen tactical mind.

Coaching Success in the Netherlands
Slot’s transition into management was seamless. After coaching stints at Cambuur and AZ Alkmaar, he made his mark at Feyenoord, winning the Eredivisie title in 2022-23 and the Dutch Cup the following season.
Nobody who played with me is surprised I became a coach. It felt natural.
During his time in the Netherlands, Slot studied Liverpool’s playing style, especially their dominant 2019-20 Premier League-winning season.

Balancing Family and Coaching in England

It’s tough being away, especially between November and March when there are no breaks in English football. But it gives me time to prepare and improve as a coach.

His focus remains on keeping the club at the highest level.
