Arsenal could make a sensational move for Liverpool forward Diogo Jota this summer, as reports suggest the Reds are open to selling him for the right price.

The 28-year-old, who joined Liverpool from Wolves for £45 million in 2020, has struggled with injuries, missing 95 matches over his four-and-a-half years at Anfield.

His fitness issues have frustrated new Liverpool boss Arne Slot, leading to speculation that the club may be willing to cash in on him.

When fit, Jota is one of Liverpool’s most clinical forwards, scoring eight goals and providing two assists in 20 appearances this season.

However, he has managed only 11 starts across all competitions, raising concerns about his availability for the long term.

Arsenal’s Interest in Jota

Arsenal were reportedly keen on Jota last summer and could revive their interest, with Mikel Arteta eager to strengthen his attacking options.

With Gabriel Jesus expected to miss the start of next season due to an ACL injury, the need for a new No.9 has become even more pressing.

While Liverpool would prefer not to sell to a direct rival, reports claim they could be tempted by a significant offer.

Other European clubs are also monitoring Jota’s situation, but Arsenal’s previous interest suggests they may be frontrunners if a deal becomes possible.

Arsenal’s Summer Transfer Plans

Jota isn’t the only name linked to the Gunners. RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyökeres are also on Arsenal’s radar as they look to add firepower to their attack.

Arteta recently expressed disappointment over Arsenal’s failure to sign reinforcements in the January transfer window, stating:

We had a clear intention to explore opportunities to improve our squad with players who can make an impact.

With the summer window approaching, Arsenal may have the chance to finally land Jota and boost their squad ahead of another title push.
