Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk says he has “no idea” whether he will remain at Anfield beyond this season, as speculation about his future intensifies.
The Dutch defender is one of three high-profile Liverpool players—alongside Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold—whose contracts expire in June.
While negotiations with Liverpool have been ongoing, Van Dijk’s recent interaction with Paris Saint-Germain officials following Liverpool’s Champions League exit has fueled transfer rumors.

“I still have no idea at the moment. Genuinely,” Van Dijk said after Liverpool’s penalty shootout defeat to PSG.
“At the moment, I don’t even know what will happen next year. If anyone says they do know, they are lying to your face.”
Salah, who was seen in tears after the loss, has already hinted that this could be his final season at Liverpool, citing a lack of progress in contract talks.
Meanwhile, Alexander-Arnold has remained tight-lipped about his future amid reported interest from Real Madrid.
Liverpool, currently 15 points clear at the top of the Premier League, remain focused on their domestic ambitions.
However, with key players’ futures uncertain, a summer of big decisions awaits at Anfield.
