Last season, Chilwell was a crucial part of Chelsea’s setup, even captaining the side on several occasions. Although injuries limited his appearances to 13 Premier League games, his leadership on the field was evident. Having recently made a substitute appearance in the League Cup match against Barrow, Chilwell is showing his willingness to seize any opportunity to impress the new manager. With Chelsea competing on multiple fronts, Chilwell’s experience and skill set could be valuable assets as the season progresses.
