Chelsea’s rising star, Cole Palmer, has been awarded the Premier League Player of the Month for September 2024, capping off a stellar month for the 22-year-old.
This achievement highlights his rapid adaptation to the Chelsea squad and the English top flight, where his impressive performances throughout the month played a crucial role in the team’s success.
Palmer scored five goals and provided one assist in September, which saw Chelsea go unbeaten with three wins and a draw.
Notable among these was a thrilling 4-2 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion, where Palmer scored all four goals, making him the first player to achieve a hat-trick before halftime in a Premier League match.
His clinical finishing, which included a precise penalty and a remarkable free-kick, demonstrated his scoring versatility and his calmness under pressure.
The young English forward also contributed to Chelsea’s victories against West Ham and Bournemouth, with his contributions helping the team climb to fourth place in the Premier League standings by the end of September.
He began the month by setting up Nicolas Jackson’s goal in a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace, showcasing his playmaking abilities alongside his goal-scoring prowess.
