Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim believes he won’t be given the same patience Mikel Arteta had to rebuild Arsenal.
Arteta, who took over at Arsenal in 2019, endured early struggles but gradually turned the Gunners into title contenders, winning the FA Cup in his first season.
However, it took him three years to secure Champions League qualification.
“I will not have the time that Arteta had,” Amorim admitted.
Despite this, the Portuguese manager draws inspiration from how Arteta navigated difficulties at Arsenal.

“The way he dealt with those challenges is an inspiration for everybody,” he said.
Injury Concerns for United Ahead of Arsenal Clash
United will host Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday but will be without key players, including Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, and Mason Mount.
While Amad Diallo remains sidelined, Amorim is hopeful he could return before the season ends.
“Kobbie [Mainoo] can return. [Harry] Maguire, we have to be careful. Manuel [Ugarte] will return, and I think Mason [Mount] and Luke Shaw can return also,” he added.
Europa League a Bigger Challenge Than Champions League?
Amorim also pointed out that competing in the Europa League is more taxing on league form than the Champions League.
“Europa is so much harder than the Champions League—not in terms of games, but the recovery to play in the Premier League on the weekend,” he explained.
With United struggling for consistency, Amorim faces a tough challenge in his first season, and the clash against Arsenal could be a defining moment in their campaign.
