Chelsea remains committed to signing a new striker in the upcoming transfer windows, despite the impressive early-season form of Nicolas Jackson.
According to Caughtoffside, The Blues are still exploring multiple options as they look to bolster their attacking options to complement Jackson’s contributions.
Jackson has been more clinical and reliable, as evidenced by his increased goal contributions in the early stages of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.
Top of Chelsea’s list is Victor Osimhen, Napoli’s prolific forward, (now on loan at Galatasaray), with talks ongoing between the club and the Nigerian’s representatives.
Although a summer move for Osimhen fell through, Chelsea is determined to revive negotiations and secure his signature.
Osimhen has drawn interest from several other European clubs, but Chelsea hopes to land the 25-year-old.
In addition to Osimhen, Chelsea is monitoring other key targets, including Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting Lisbon, Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa, and Benjamin Sesko, who currently plays for RB Leipzig.
All three players have shown great form, and Chelsea believes any of them could provide the firepower needed to sustain their title ambitions this season.
Chelsea’s pursuit of another forward is a clear indication that, despite Jackson’s recent performances, they are seeking to add more depth and versatility to their attack as they aim to challenge on multiple fronts.
