Tel could make a great signing for Chelsea

Chelsea Football Club has initiated talks with Bayern Munich over the potential signing of 19-year-old forward Mathys Tel.
The Premier League giants are exploring options to strengthen their attacking lineup, while Bayern reportedly has its sights on Christopher Nkunku in a separate deal.
Tel’s Journey and Potential
Tel, a versatile French attacker, has yet to find the net in his seven appearances for Bayern this season but boasts a promising track record.
After joining from Rennes, he became Bayern’s youngest-ever goalscorer at 17.

Football analyst Seb Stafford-Bloor highlights Tel’s untapped potential, describing him as a “dynamic and skillful goalscorer” with the versatility to excel as an inside forward or a No. 9.
Speaking of Tel, Bayern director said:
Mathys is a great talent and should play an important role for us. Our clear goal is for Mathys to make his breakthrough with us. Of course if a player is unhappy, we can talk about it. But we are very happy with him.
A move to Chelsea could provide him the minutes needed to realize his potential fully.
Nkunku’s Uncertain Future at Chelsea
Christopher Nkunku’s tenure at Stamford Bridge has been underwhelming. Despite scoring 13 goals across all competitions, he has struggled to cement a place in manager Enzo Maresca’s plans, starting only three Premier League games this season.
Simon Johnson of The Athletic notes that Nkunku’s dissatisfaction with limited game time, coupled with his ambitions for France’s 2026 World Cup squad, could push Chelsea to consider offers for the forward.
With Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer favored in Maresca’s setup, Nkunku’s role appears increasingly peripheral.
