AC Milan has reportedly reached out to Chelsea regarding a potential loan deal for Portuguese forward João Félix in the January transfer window.
However, according to Friday’s reports, Enzo Maresca’s side has made its stance clear—Chelsea is not interested in letting Félix leave on loan.
The Rossoneri are actively looking for attacking reinforcements and had initially targeted Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford.
However, with United unwilling to cover a portion of Rashford’s wages in a loan move, Milan has explored alternatives, including João Félix.
Despite struggling for consistent playing time due to the presence of Cole Palmer in his preferred role, Félix remains an important squad member.
Chelsea has no intention of loaning him out this month, seeing him as a valuable asset for the remainder of the season.
This also includes Mourinho’s interest in securing a loan deal for the player. With Chelsea rejecting their approach, Milan and Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe will need to look elsewhere for attacking options.
Borussia Dortmund’s Giovanni Reyna has also been mentioned as a potential target as the Serie A giants continue their search for reinforcements.
