Chelsea have reached an agreement in principle to sign highly rated Sporting CP winger Geovany Quenda for a fee of approximately £40 million.
The 17-year-old Portuguese prospect is expected to commit to a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge, with an option to extend for an additional season.
However, as part of the agreement, Quenda will remain at Sporting until 2026 before officially joining the Premier League side.
Despite Chelsea already boasting a wealth of attacking options on both wings, the club sees Quenda as a versatile player capable of operating on either flank.
