Chelsea has included Cole Palmer in their UEFA Conference League squad, setting the stage for his potential tournament debut in the last-16.

The 22-year-old was left out of the group stage squad as the club managed his workload after the Euros.

Despite Palmer’s absence, Enzo Maresca’s side dominated the league phase, winning all six matches and securing a top-seed position.

They will now face either Gent or Real Betis in the next round.

Defender Trevoh Chalobah, who returned from a loan spell at Crystal Palace, and young recruit Mathis Amougou from Saint-Etienne have also been added to the squad.

However, Wesley Fofana and Romeo Lavia were omitted as they continue to recover from long-term injuries.

Chelsea, considered favorites to win the Conference League, will begin their knockout campaign in March. The tournament’s final is set for May 28 in Wroclaw, Poland.
