Fenerbahçe head coach Jose Mourinho is reportedly interested in securing a loan deal for Chelsea forward Joao Felix before the January transfer window closes.
Felix’s Chelsea Struggles
The 25-year-old Portuguese international joined Chelsea permanently last summer for €52 million from Atletico Madrid.
However, he has struggled to cement a regular starting spot in Enzo Maresca’s squad, facing stiff competition from Cole Palmer and Christopher Nkunku.
Despite making 19 appearances across all competitions this season, Felix has been an unused substitute in eight of Chelsea’s last 16 Premier League matches.
So far, he has scored seven goals and provided two assists, but his limited role has fueled speculation about a potential exit.
Mourinho’s Interest
According to Estadio Deportivo, Mourinho has personally reached out to Felix to discuss the possibility of a temporary switch to Fenerbahçe.
The Portuguese coach sees Felix as a key addition to strengthen his squad and challenge Galatasaray for the league title.
Fenerbahçe is eager to finalize the deal before the January deadline, and Mourinho hopes to provide Felix with the playing time he currently lacks at Chelsea.

Felix has not yet publicly responded to Fenerbahçe’s interest. However, in October, he expressed his commitment to Chelsea, stating:
I spoke with Enzo [Maresca]. I like the way he thinks about football. I knew competition would be tough, but I am here to work. You will never see me stop working to achieve my dreams.
Despite his determination to succeed at Chelsea, Felix’s lack of game time could influence his decision before the transfer window closes.
