Chelsea defender Levi Colwill has hailed manager Enzo Maresca as being “light years ahead” in his football thinking, crediting him for changing his understanding of the game.
The 22-year-old, who has made 25 appearances this season, believes Maresca’s approach is unique.
He is pushing me to understand football in a different way. I’m very blessed to play under him and learn as much as possible,” Colwill said.

Having risen through Chelsea’s ranks, Colwill highlighted the club’s impressive academy system, calling it a breeding ground for “animals” on the pitch.
He praised emerging talents like Tyrique George and Josh Acheampong, predicting bright futures for them.
