Premier League champions Manchester City are looking to strengthen their squad this summer, with reports suggesting they could sign a new goalkeeper amid doubts over Ederson’s future.

City’s season has been below their usual standards, and while they remain in contention for a Champions League spot, their hopes of a fifth consecutive Premier League title are fading.

Currently sitting fourth in the table, Pep Guardiola’s side will look to climb further when they face Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

With a major squad overhaul expected at the Etihad, City’s recruitment team has reportedly been scouting goalkeeping options in case Ederson departs.

The 31-year-old Brazilian, who has been a key figure since arriving from Benfica in 2017, is entering the final 12 months of his contract this summer.

While a renewal remains possible, his openness to a move—particularly to Saudi Arabia last year—has raised speculation about his future.

City’s Goalkeeping Targets

According to TBR Football, City are already identifying potential replacements, with Espanyol’s Joan Garcia, Lille’s Lucas Chevalier, and Parma’s Zion Suzuki emerging as possible targets.

Ederson has won 18 major trophies with City, including six Premier League titles and the Champions League, but Guardiola may be planning for the long-term as he reshapes his squad ahead of next season.
