Real Madrid pulled off a stunning 3-2 comeback victory against Manchester City in the first leg of their Champions League knockout clash at the Etihad Stadium.
Jude Bellinghamâs stoppage-time winner sealed a dramatic night as the Spanish giants overcame two deficits to put themselves in control of the tie.
City Take the LeadâTwice
Manchester City started strong, with Erling Haaland opening the scoring in the 19th minute.
A well-crafted team move saw Jack Grealishâs cross chested down by Josko Gvardiol, setting up Haaland to finish clinically. Despite City’s dominance, Real Madrid responded quickly.
Kylian Mbappe leveled the score in the second half after his mishit shot looped over goalkeeper Ederson, shifting the momentum in Madridâs favor.
But City regained control when Phil Foden won a penalty, allowing Haaland to convert his second goal of the match.
Madridâs Fightback and Bellinghamâs Magic Moment
Just when it seemed City would head to Spain with a lead, Real Madrid struck back.
Substitute Brahim Diaz capitalized on a rebound to equalize, and moments later, Jude Bellingham delivered the decisive blow.
With Cityâs defense in disarray, Bellingham pounced on a loose ball to slot home the winner in the 92nd minute, sending Madrid fans into a frenzy.
