Arsenal’s title challenge took another hit as Declan Rice’s second-half equalizer salvaged a point against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Manchester United started cautiously, allowing Arsenal to dominate possession early on.

Arsenal controlled the first half but lacked cutting edge, allowing United to strike just before halftime.

Bruno Fernandes curled a 25-yard free-kick past a poorly positioned David Raya, giving the home side a lead they barely deserved.

Despite United’s second-half pressure, Arsenal finally broke through in the 74th minute. A loose clearance fell to Declan Rice, who unleashed a stunning drive past Andre Onana.

United nearly stole the win in the dying seconds, but Raya produced a miraculous double save to deny Fernandes.

What This Means

For Arsenal: A missed opportunity. While they remain in the top four hunt, Liverpool’s 15-point lead makes a title comeback unlikely.

For United: Mediocrity persists. They sit 14th in the table, a stark reflection of their struggles despite Fernandes’ brilliance.

Arsenal’s Attacking Woes Continue

Mikel Arteta’s side had 68% possession and 17 shots but failed to trouble United consistently. The lack of a clinical striker continues to haunt their Premier League campaign.

Can Arsenal rediscover their attacking spark in the Champions League? Or will this season be another of ‘what could have been’?
